Devil Ark and Aussie Ark will open its doors for daily visitors for the first time during the summer holidays from 1-27 January 2019. Devil Ark holds the largest population of the endangered Tasmanian Devil on mainland Australia whilst Aussie Ark is home to Eastern quolls, parma wallabies, potoroos, brush-tailed rock wallabies, and bettongs! Secluded in spectacular Barrington Tops - the highest point of the Barrington Coast - you can escape to the remoteness and discover how these two conservation projects are fighting extinction of some of Australia’s most loved species. Guided tours are 1 hour in duration and will be run daily by Ark keepers at 10:30am, 11.30 am and 12pm. Self-guided visits are not available, so guests will be included into the next guided tour after arrival. Tickets: Adult $30, child (4+yrs) $15, Family (2A+2C) $85

Stargazers love a good meteor shower & on Friday 14 Dec the Geminids will light up the skies with one of the most spectacular displays of shooting stars to be viewed from Earth this year. They are loved by stargazers because the individual meteors are bright, and they come fast and furious: at its peak you will be able to see up to 120 shooting stars an hour. 😎😍🤩 The best way to see the meteors is to lie flat on your back and look straight up, to maximise your field of vision and not strain your neck. Of course, the darker your viewing location the better, so head high to Barrington Tops for a full-blown stargazing experience of the Geminid meteor shower.🛸👽😳 . .
