Comprising 11 acres just outside the township, this community-run garden uses permaculture and other organic practices to regenerate the soil and build a strong and diverse eco-system as an example of how we all can ensure a sustainable future for our food supply, our landscape and our health.

As part of this vision the Patch provides organically grown food and other services for the local community. Fresh, seasonal vegetables, fruit and herbs are produced in the market garden and food forest, all chemical-free and grown to sustainable and earth-friendly standards, replenishing the soil with natural composts, mulches and manures to enrich it for future crops.

A weekly Farmgate Stall provides an outlet for the delicious produce grown on site as well as eggs, honey, sourdough bread and other goodies brought by local growers.

The Patch also runs regular educational workshops on topics such as growing vegies, natural pest & disease control, pruning, soil improvement and more. Guided tours of the grounds are available by appointment.
