Paddle like an explorer on the Barrington River

Top things to do Gloucester Barrington Tops

Fed by waters tumbling down from Barrington Tops, the Barrington River offers paddling adventures for modern day explorers. Families and beginners can paddle easy sections with gently flowing water, grade 1 rapids and plenty of fun. For more experienced paddlers there are trickier parts of the river, more challenging rapids and more exhilaration. Are you up for it?

Two-person Canadian canoes are suitable only for the section of the river below Rocky Crossing. Single-person kayaks can be used on all stretches of the river. Choose from half day or full day guided tours (equipment, guide & transport), self-guided paddling packages (equipment & transport) or hire-only (BYO roof racks or trailer). Minimum age limits apply to different sections of the river.
