Thanks Gloucester volunteers! …The Aurora Research study for the Northern Rivers Tourism Management Group found that 22% of people who use a visitor information centre stay an extra night. If this statistic is replicated in Gloucester (latest independent research shows 96,000 domestic overnight visitors spending $164 per night), then the benefit is $3.46million. This is a huge return on investment for the less-than-one-percent share of the Council’s annual expense budget.
